De nos papiers – déchets – naissent ainsi des œuvres sculpturales tridimensionnelles à l’esthétique minimaliste, qui s’inscrivent dans son temps. Le corpus d’œuvre intitulé ''Made in Paris / Fait en papier'', réalisé lors d’une résidence à la Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris en 2006, est significatif du travail de l’artiste. Ce dernier s’articule essentiellement autour de la reproduction d’un visuel ou d’une technique, au moyen de la multiplication ou de la fragmentation. Ses installations instaurent un « aménagement d’espace nomade », modifiant le lieu investi, dans le plus grand respect de l’endroit, sans laisser de trace. Habitées par une conscience écologique que se soit lors de la production – colle biodégradable, papiers récupérés etc.– ou la diffusion, ses œuvres transposent également la mouvance dans laquelle nous vivons aujourd’hui. Cette tendance aux renouvellements, aux changements, à l’exode, s’oppose à une sédentarisation. Dans cette perspective de mouvement, l’ensemble de ses objets hétéroclites se façonne d’un corps infiniment petit en une abondante étendue. Entre artistique et investigation se développe un nouveau concept décoratif individualisé, atypique, modulable et amovible. Les œuvres ''Projet Tori'', principalement ''À table''! et ''Le tapis'', traduisent une approche des structures ornementales dans un environnement d’exposition intra-muros ou extra-muros, parfois insolite. Accolés par une série de combinaisons, les modules offrent deux visions de cette œuvre. On passe ainsi d’un paradigme de division – les modules distincts – à un paradigme unitaire – le tapis ou le napperon – reliés par un enchainement de deux instants, de deux regards. Les titres entremêlant, avec subtilité, jeux de mots et expressions françaises font partie à part entière des œuvres. ''Déconstruire Paris'', ''Paris ne s’est pas construit en une nuit'' et ''Mettre Paris en boîte'' l’attestent. Cette reconstitution originale de la ville de Paris nous reporte à la naissance de celle-ci. Notre aptitude à transformer la métropole nous interroge sur les rapports intrinsèques qui existent entre l’Homme et son environnement. De là, l’expression « Paris ne s’est pas fait en un jour » prend tout son sens. Tout comme il est possible de « mettre Paris en boîte » ! Au delà des relations existantes entre la matière et l’artiste, l’œuvre et son contexte ou le visiteur, Julie Picard nous invite à reconsidérer ce que nous voyons, afin de laisser libre cours à notre créativité, de manière à estomper les limites de notre vision, par le jeu du déploiement et de la représentation. À la suite de ses études en communication et métiers de l’exposition spécialisée en art contemporain, Corinne Grosjean a immigré temporairement à Québec, pour effectuer un stage aux Éditions J’ai VU en automne 2007. C’est au cours de ce séjour qu’elle a découvert les œuvres de l’artiste Julie Picard, quelques temps avant son retour en France, son pays natal, où elle se veut active dans la diffusion des pratiques artistiques toutes confondues.
